Polishing the diamond

I master in three ways.

1st option: Stereo track mastering, which is the most common way to master these days.

2nd option (my favorite so far) is “2 stems Mastering”.

By sending me the Playback and Vocals as two separate files, I can master the track to be accurate at max, it gives me the ability to adjust the volume and dynamics for both vocal and playback to each other, so they fit perfectly during the mastering process.

3nd option is Stems mastering.

Stems Mastering is a different approach, the customer is sending me a few groups that contain all channels in the track.

for example:

4 groups. Drums, Bass, Melodic Instruments, and one Electronic group.

This way, I can have a bit more control over the mastering process. So far, the results are much better.
